Not-for-Profit Incorporation Seminar

This
two-hour seminar is designed to provide non profits with the
information they need to proceed with the legal process of
incorporation. Topics covered include the benefits of being a non profit
(versus a for-profit business), incorporating and structuring the
nonprofit, state and federal reporting and regulation, fiscal agency,
and completing the Form 1023 for federal tax-exemption. Time is set
aside for general questions.
This workshop is sponsored by Goodwin
Procter LLP, the Arts & Business Council of Boston, and Lawyer's
Clearinghouse. The Clearinghouse offers free legal services to nonprofit
organizations or those seeking nonprofit status to further their goals.
The speakers for this workshp will be Alyssa Fitzgerald and Janet Rickershauser, attorneys at Goodwin Procter in the Trusts and Estate Planning Department.
